SUMMER STUDENTS
- 35 hours per week
- 8 weeks from June 26 – August 21, 2025
- Must be available for all 8 weeks with no vacation time allowed
- Must be available to work on all 8 Sundays
- One of the kids positions will include Friday evenings to help with Celebration Place
- Rate of Pay is $18/hour
- Weekdays will be at the Waterloo Campus location
- Must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or have refugee status in Canada
- Must be between 15 and 30 years of age, legally entitled to work in Canada, and have a valid Social Insurance Number

We have positions for the following roles:
Child and Youth Worker
2 positions available: one for Sundays at Kitchener Campus, and one for Waterloo Campus – weekdays for both positions will be at the Waterloo Campus
The responsibilities for this youth will include working with children and youth at Creekside and in the community. They will assist children with reading, improving social skills, learning communication skills, and doing activities that encourage all children to be included. They will work with children with disabilities. They will help to prepare activities for programs and supervise children during the programs. The youth will have the opportunity to work with children aged 0-18 years old at a variety of programs that take place during the summer. They will help plan and prepare activities for summer programs for children aged 0-Grade 6. This will include a variety of activities such as sports, creative arts, reading, and music.
Child Care Assistant
The Child Care Worker Assistant will help with planning, preparing and implementing a program for children whose parents are in a recovery program. They will assist children who attend this program to learn about early signs of addiction and ways to prevent addiction. They will help with interactive activities during the weekly program. This position will also help with preparing the curriculum for children’s programming.
Early Childhood Program Staff Assistant
The Early Childhood Program Staff Assistant will help with planning, preparing and implementing a weekly program for children age 0-5. They will participate in music, crafts, interactive play activities, and socialization skills. Children with disabilities are encouraged to attend. They will assist with planning the program, choosing music, preparing crafts, and activities for each week. They will assist with the children as they participate in the program each week. They will work with other volunteers and staff to make the program run safely and smoothly. They will learn skills with technology to run a computer and a projector that will be used for the program. They will assist with social media related to the early childhood program.
Video Illustrator / Multimedia work
This person will be responsible for helping in the audio and video department for various groups within the organization. They will learn to record, edit, and produce videos. These videos will be used for social media, programming, and training. They will also learn about audio and lighting that will help in both a live setting and a video recording environment. They will work with the staff and volunteers in the audio and video department to learn skills related to making videos, audio and lighting equipment. They will learn about software used for making videos, graphics, and creative content.
