The Pastor of Local Outreach & Welcome mandate is to oversee both Local outreach initiatives of Creekside with the Local Outreach Team.  The position is also responsible to maximize the first impression and connection experience of all who attend weekend services at Creekside through the various teams that provide welcome and hospitality.  Lastly, to provide support to the Adult Ministries Pastor at the Waterloo Campus in areas of Care and Next Steps.

You are:

  • Equipped with 3-5 years ministry experience serving in the Church and have a ministry degree/diploma
  • Able to encourage and lead teams.
  • Organized and efficient, especially with time and people management
  • An excellent communicator, both orally and written
  • A multi-tasking team player with high energy, strong interpersonal skills, and a positive attitude

You will be:

  • Planning, organizing and overseeing all aspects of the Welcoming experience at the Waterloo Campus.
  • Responsible for planning and executing the Creekside’s outreach events
  • Recruiting, training, motivating and building teams for Outreach and Welcome.
  • Helping people take Next Steps and assist in Care ministries

The Custodian is a hands-on role directly involved in the cleaning of specific areas and the set-up of the Creekside Waterloo Campus. This position is responsible for ensuring the building is kept in great condition, preparing rooms for ministry events, and providing vital custodial support during weekend services and special events. Lastly, to provide collaborative support under the guidance of the Head Custodian in maintaining building systems and performing required repairs.

You are:

  • A strong team player who is self-motivated and teachable.
  • Able to define and meet clear maintenance objectives and goals.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in building cleaning, as well as grounds and building maintenance.
  • Physically capable of lifting between 30–40 lbs and comfortable working at various heights.
  • Mechanically inclined with a knack for building repairs and a readiness to safely operate cleaning machinery or small outdoor power equipment (such as a sky jack).
  • Qualified to be a member of Creekside Church.
  • Qualified to work in Canada

You wil be:

  • Carrying out specific custodial duties to ensure the entire facility is kept in pristine and clean condition.
  • Ensuring rooms are set up efficiently for ministry events according to plans entered into the bookings calendar.
  • Acting as the “On Duty Custodian” for weekend services as required.
  • Assisting with the preventative maintenance schedule and repairs of building systems under the guidance of the Head Custodian.
  • Working various evenings and weekends to provide essential custodial support to events.
