20 HRS + / WEEK

Creekside Church exists to . . . Follow Jesus.  Love God.  Love People.  Launched in 1989, the church is located on 33 acres in northwest Waterloo. Creekside is a non-denominational, evangelical, contemporary, team oriented, growing congregation (1900+) with multiple staff and multiple Sunday services.  We are passionate about evangelism, worship, teaching and caring for those both inside and outside the church family.

 

We are looking for an energetic Kids Outreach Director to oversee our Playground Ministry and Café that runs weekday mornings from Monday to Thursday (9:00 – 11:30 am) at the Waterloo Campus.  The Kids Outreach Director will also assist with Kids Ministry on Sunday Mornings and help to plan and oversee Kids Ministry special events and our EPIC summer VBS program.

You are:

  • Passionate about working with kids and families in the church, people in the community, and volunteers
  • Able to develop and execute an annual strategy for the Playground Ministry
  • Qualified to be a member of Creekside Church
  • Gifted with strong interpersonal, organizational and connecting skills
  • Able to recruit & motivate volunteers
  • A strong team player who is self-motivated
  • Experienced in teaching kids at all age levels
  • Experienced with Sunday morning programs @ Creekside Church or similar Large Group/Small Group format
  • Great with marketing and social media skills

 

You will:

  • Recruit, train and support Playground volunteers to ensure the program run well on a daily basis.
  • Oversee special events for playground such as Christmas at the Playground and Easter at the Playground
  • Develop weekly summer activities for families (July-Aug)
  • Oversee Event Planning Team to do the events
  • Plan, recruit & train volunteers to run the summer EPIC program
  • Help new families from playground get connected on Sundays
  • Help in Kids Ministry Rooms where needed on Sundays

Job Posting – Custodian
15 HRS / WEEK – Includes evening & weekend shifts

The Custodian is a hands-on role directly involved in the cleaning of specific areas and the set-up of the Creekside Waterloo Campus. This position is responsible for ensuring the building is kept in great condition, preparing rooms for ministry events, and providing vital custodial support during weekend services and special events. Lastly, to provide collaborative support under the guidance of the Head Custodian in maintaining building systems and performing required repairs.

You are:

  • A strong team player who is self-motivated and teachable.
  • Able to define and meet clear maintenance objectives and goals.
  • Knowledgeable and experienced in building cleaning, as well as grounds and building maintenance.
  • Physically capable of lifting between 30–40 lbs and comfortable working at various heights.
  • Mechanically inclined with a knack for building repairs and a readiness to safely operate cleaning machinery or small outdoor power equipment (such as a sky jack).
  • Qualified to be a member of Creekside Church.
  • Qualified to work in Canada

You wil be:

  • Carrying out specific custodial duties to ensure the Waterloo Campus is kept in pristine and clean condition.
  • Ensuring rooms are set up efficiently for ministry events according to plans entered into the bookings calendar.
  • Acting as the “On Duty Custodian” for weekend services as required.
  • Assisting with the preventative maintenance schedule and repairs of building systems under the guidance of the Head Custodian.
  • Working various evenings and weekends to provide essential custodial support to events.
