I have been struggling with relationship with a sister who is also a Christian and with whom I was close growing up. There seems to be an unhealthy dynamic in her communications to me lately, usually by texts that are manipulative, controlling, and critical. I have decided that I will never block her out of my life, but unfortunately, the open door seems primarily to lead only to a path of pain. I try to carefully, consider my responses to keep them as positive and constructive as I can but invariably they are not accepted and responsibility, and guilt is placed solely on me, even for taking too much time to respond. Please pray that my eyes would be open to blind spots I may have that might be contributing and to deal with those appropriately. Pray that she would do the same and we would experience restoration of relationship. Where I cannot control for the outcome of the relationship, please pray that I may fully forgive and have peace and freedom.
