Carmen Bajo Church
Carmen Bajo is our sister church in Quito, Ecuador.Our partnership began in 2007 after our first team served at Carmen Bajo in March of that year.Since then we have sent 1-2 teams each year to serve along side the people of Carmen Bajo.We were also blessed to host Pastor Fabian and Grace (from Carmen Bajo) at Creekside in the summer of 2009.
Carmen Bajo is an under-resourced barrio of Quito, with high unemployment coupled with the social issues that come with poverty. Carmen Bajo Church is a small but dynamic church that is truly a "light on a hill". They serve their community in ways that would seem to exceed their size. They feed a hot meal and tutor over 150 kids Monday-Friday after school in a nurturing and supportive environment. They reach out to youth, help restore broken people and broken marriages.
Carmen Bajo Church is currently constructing a facility that will house a medical clinic, a kids and youth centre and a church sanctuary.
