I am presently going through some things and I feel very overwhelmed and afraid. I have had a lump on my arm/shoulder for quite some time (5 to 7 years at least). When I first noticed it, it was small. I went to my family doctor right away and she originally said that it's just a lipoma..nothing serious and only cosmetic, to leave it alone. A few more years passed and it got bigger. I went to my family doctor again and she said that it's just a lipoma but she can refer me to plastic surgeon to get it removed but because it's only cosmetic, it's not covered under OHIP. I couldn't afford to see a plastic surgeon at the time, so i trusted her diagnosis and left it. A couple of weeks ago, I went back concerned about how big it's gotten and NOW she tells me that lipomas don't grow and NOW she is sending me for all kinds of tests that are taking forever to get appointments for! The not knowing is causing me a tremendous amount of stress and anxiety. I had a chest X-ray done today, to rule out lung mets. just in case this thing is not just a lipoma. I also lost my job last week and I am single. I am requesting prayer for the healing of my body, mind and spirit, prayer that I can be calm so that my blood pressure will go down and stabilize, prayer for the healing and protection of my heart, prayer that the right people will be put in place so i can get quick access to the tests that I need, prayer for a job that will give me security and prayer for strength and calm so I can deal with all of this.
