Global Missions: Kitigoma, Uganda

Creekside partners with Kitigoma Community Church (KCC) and God’s Gift School both under the leadership of  Mr. Shadrach Wanjala.  Shadrach works at God’s Gift school with a School Management team that oversees the school operations.  KCC also has an Elders type board structure that oversees the running of the church.

KCC is a fully operational church with weekly Sunday services, a children’s ministry, small groups ministry and a youth program.  In addition they provide extensive outreach into the community around them.  The church’s founding pastor (Robert Mukalazi) passed away in November of 2022. In January 2023 the church appointed pastor Godfrey Munage to take up the role of Senior Pastor.   KCC is a thriving faith community, worshipping God and serving Him with great passion and joy.

God’s Gift School provides K-7 education and a daily lunch for close to 200 children. It has been amazing to see the growth of the school over the past decade.  Starting in 2021, the top graduating student each year can be awarded a scholarship so they can attend Secondary school.

Impact Uganda has been significantly affected by the pandemic and tragic death of Robert Mukalazi.   Even though it has been a tough stretch we are excited to see what God has done, is doing and will continue to do for many years in the  Kitigoma area.

Impact Uganda is now under the agency of International Teams Canada, you can check them out at https://www.iteams.ca/impact/uganda
