Money Map Coaches
FAQ's
Q | Does it cost anything?
A | It doesn't cost you anything and we even provide you with a workbook free of charge. Money map coaches are volunteers who have been trained by Crown Financial. They will never try to sell you anything and there is never any fee. They may recommend some books to read but you can always get those out of your local library.
Q | How often do you meet?
A | It's up to you and your coach how often you get together. Usually you'll meet once every month for 6 months and then as needed after that time. Some people prefer to meet more regularly and others prefer longer periods of time in between sessions.
Q | Will I have to tell all my financial secrets?
A | In order to best help you, money map coaches will need to know the basics. It's up to you how much you want to share. Everything you share is completely confidential and will never be disclosed to anyone.
Q | What's the catch?
A | There is no catch. Money map coaches have a passion for personal finance and want to help others get on track financially.
Q | Where do we meet? Will a coach come to my house?
A | Money map coaches will meet with you in a public place. This can be in the conference room at the church or at a local coffee shop. After your first meeting you and the coach can decide where you'd like to have future meetings.
Q | Is there a lot of homework?
A | There is some homework but the coaches are here to help you walk through the few assignments you have. These include such things as listing your debts, calculating your net worth and answering questions in the provided workbook.
Q | What if I'm not in debt? Can I still meet with a coach?
A | Absolutely! Coaches meet with people in all different types of financial situations. It doesn't matter if you are nearing bankruptcy or have more money than you know what to do with, our coaches are here to help you better understand your finances.
